The Immobilizer System

This is a very important anti-theft device that blocks car thieves from hotwiring the immobilizer, or bypassing it in any other method. If the immobilizer can't identify the key, it won't permit the engine to start even if someone attempts to short-circuit the ignition circuit.
Modern cars are equipped with electronic Engine Immobilizer systems that use rolling/changing security codes. This means that every time the key is used, the smart system changes the second code before pushing it into the chip in the key. The first code is permanent when the key is turned in the ignition, the immobilizer checks the two codes to determine if they match.
